A steady Stream of Free... for those on the inside!

Hey Folks,

Busy things going on for us on the SUPERS! front.  We are close to a final draft on the product and are homing in on getting some descriptions out to our artists. Also, the TGI releases and updates are going out to the backers.  We should have those out by the weekend.  Lastly, we should be good to get the cover going on our regular cover.  Last descriptions for the Cover characters should come in this week so after the holiday we can get that working as well.

We are also working on the next free product for the backers.  We have Zenith Comics with the next character in their, Villainous, line and then another organization book from us at HAZARD Stds.  Looking like a groovy next few weeks.

Next time I'm hiring an assistant.
Regards,
Walt

System Updates hit Kickstarter

We sent out a major update for our backers today.  Version 1.6 replaces the original version of the White Copy and takes RED to a whole new level.  If you were thinking about backing us, we have 10 more days to go.  With the tactical optional rules and Art Explosion stretch goals funded, RED is looking to be, not only a fantastic game, but, an amazing book.  At less than 250 dollars left to go for our Alternate digital cover, the next 10 days should prove very exciting.

The Blue Brawler

Artist extraordinaire Rus Boyd (AKA Dustland) has taken one of my designs and just knocked it out of the park!  May we introduce, the Blue Brawler!

With RED fast approaching and things ramping up at the speed of :-O, I thought this little homage would serve as a cool placeholder till RED Launches strong.

Best Regards,
Walt

SUPERS! Kickstarter pre-jump shout outs

Just when you thought it was safe to enter the blog-o-sphere, the fine folks at SUPERS! the comic book RPG tease you with another glimpse of RED (Revised EDition).

The manuscript is complete and RED is looking good.  Before we can put things into motion we had a couple of tweaks to work out.  We had to compile the WHITE copy (playtest doc) into a usable PDF.  Of course, Last minute changes to the doc had this process stunted a bit but, things are back on track.

Supervillain intervention was the major roadblock to us launching the WHITE Copy and our kickstarter.  First they must have projected a sonic beam at the pipe in my wall to flood my house.  THEN!, they were in league with an evil real estate empire, forcing us to move!  I know... Supervillains suck!

We currently have one of the coolest teams assembled to make RED a reality.  Aldo Regalado (TGI Games) and Russ Boyd (Super 6 Games) on writing, Ade Smith (Mesozoic Press) on art, and Mike Lafferty (Fainting Goat Games) as producer.  We have been talking to some other folks in regards for editing, more art, and for stretch goals but we want to keep those names under wraps until we get deeper into things.

Keep an eye out for the RED Kickstarter, Launching this month from Zenith Comics and HAZARD Studio.

Onward and Upwards!,
Walt

As SUPERS! marches toward the launch of the Revised EDition, it falls to me to play the social media devil. Posting about what is going on in the game is a balancing act as we want to save all the juicy details for the launch.  SUPERS!

Project RED has been bouncing around since January and we think we have a pretty slick product at this point.  One of our plans is to push out the test document on a giant scale.  We want to get SUPERS! out to as many people as we can and get it heavily play tested.  It also gives us the opportunity to get it into as many hands as possible to spread the love.

More to come soon.

Walt

SUPERS! Forums

When we started on the road of SUPERS!, we weren't sure what kind of response we were going to get.  Andrew was well known about the various superhero game boards and I had been floating in and around the industry doing freelance work.  Simon Washbourne had formed Beyond Belief Games and was well known for his writing of the game as well as his other projects (Such as Barbarians of Lemuria).  Simon had come up with a fantastic little gem in SUPERS! and we wanted to make sure we did it proud.

Immediately after taking the reigns from Simon, we reached out to the fans and assured them that while a new hero wore the mask and cape, SUPERS! was dedicated to being true to what makes it a great game.

We crafted a forum and shouted out to anyone who would listen to come on by and share their experiences with the game.  In the short time we have been running we have close to two thousand posts and  a lot of great material... all generated by fans of the game.  While we are by no means the biggest SUPER on  the block, we have a dedicated following.

I just wanted to take a minute and thank the fans for coming out and supporting us as we move forward to make SUPERS! a force to be reckoned with!  If you have been stopping by the forum, thanks for the experience, effort, and for hanging out.  If you have yet to stop by, please come on over and introduce yourself and join the fun.

Upward and Onward!
Regards,
Walt
